The Money Experience is a revolutionarily different way of teaching financial concepts to young people. Consisting of a graphic-novel based software simulator and associated curriculum, it approaches money topics based on tihngs that young people care about, such as quality of life, and experiences, rather than numbers and financial concepts.

The workshop, led by Money Experience’s main designer and Winterline’s business development manager, will describe the approach used and ways in which the curriculum can be used in schools as a new auxiliary revenue business or simply as a valuable add-on to existing non-revenue offerings. Teacher selection, pricing, format, and marketing will all be discussed in an interactive and discussion-based format.

Topics covered:
  • Who should teach money matters and financial literacy at your school?
  • What sort of skills are needed?
  • Overview of the money and life topics covered in the Money Experience.
  • How can it be priced? What is the business model for my school? What is the break-even point?
  • How to facilitate discussions about money with young people.
  • How to engage teachers and students on financial topics WITHOUT any math or technical knowledge.
  • How to incorporate a financial literacy camp, workshop, or course into your curriculum.
